Oyster 53
After a long search, we finally found our dream boat; an 1987 Oyster’s 53 in the Netherlands.
Lopito III was purchased in June 2018 and we sailed her during the summer from Bruinisse Nl, all the way to Almerimar, Spain.
We knew from the purchase that the boat had to undergo some maintenance and because we are both still working, we were looking for a real maintenance center where we could leave the boat and both go back to work.
Searching through the web, we identified Almerimar Marine Service as a multi task ship yard which could handle such refit.
The extensive maintenance work was carried out by Almerimar Marine Service and was the following:
Osmosis Treatment
Hull repaint
Mast repaint
Standing rigging replacement
New injectors
New silent blocks
New hatches
Watermaker overhaul
Wiring and electrical update.
